The protective coating
We hand finish the prints with two coats of a satin non-yellowing water based varnish which protects against moisture, abrasion and fade. It is an environmentally safe product with nosolvents or nitro-cellulose. This provides additional UV stabilization and elasticisers to enhance archival life and fade resistance (exceeding 70 years in accelerated fade trials on 100% cotton canvas).
The canvas
We only use top quality materials which means we settle for nothing less than 320gsm traditional 100% artists cotton canvas.
The inks
Our inks are UV pigmented which means that they are fade resistant and together with ourstate of the art printing process ensure both high quality and fine detail.
The hand finishing
We can supply the canvas print (with protective coating) rolled in a tube ready for you to mount/frame or already finished and ready for hanging on a stretched box frame. Our hand made frames are 19mm deep (unless otherwise requested) with a rounded frontal edge and the canvas is professionally stretched and finished neatly with staples on the rear. Please state when ordering if you wish the image itself to wrap around the box depth or whether you prefer to keep white sides to the image area.
Artwork
Artwork can be supplied as an original photo for us to scan, as a high quality digital camerashot, or as a drawing on paper (up to A4 size). Artwork can be posted to us, delivered to us in person or emailed to us in the following file formats: psd, tiff, eps, jpeg. We will handle your original photographs/artwork with care when scanning and will return them with the final product.
Collection/delivery
Our production timescale is approx 7-10 days from reciept of your order. Should you wish to collect from our offices we will telephone you to arrange a convenient time. If you wish us to deliver your order we will send it by courier and inform you on the day of despatch.
Payment
Payment is accepted by cash, cheque or PayPal at the time of ordering or by cheque or cash on collection.
Care of your prints
Due to the use of the protective coating the canvas can be dusted with any non-abrasive cloth or carefully wiped clean with a damp cloth in extreme cases. Never use abrasive or solvent based cleaners.
